Roger Jorgensen, Craft Spirit Pioneer, joins Holger Meier from his new home in Kenya, in this episode. Holger first visited Roger on his wine farm in Wellington around 2011. They discuss the early days of craft distilling in South Africa from potstill brandy to the rise of craft gin. His first brand was Savingnac, combining: SA, vine and Cognac.

Roger is a passionate farmer and distiller and finds joy in seeing other people succeed. Roger became sought after as a consultant and eventually Roger had to choose between consulting and producing his own brands. In the end he also had to choose between South Africa and Kenya.
